Framus Black Rose de Luxe , mid fifties

Deep cut model in all solid Woods. Carved sprucetop ( very thick on this one ,- 9 mm ) solid maple sides, solid carved maple back. Ebony fretboard.

Black was optional , but it was the red burst that made the Black Rose finish famous, and many other brands copied it.

Also most of them have red binding at the neck and head.

The Black Rose models were regarded as topquality when they hit the market . For good reasons.
